I'm finally done!

That's right I'm done and I have 2 and half hours until I need to be on my way to Ashdown for my SIL's baby shower and I just got done with it. Of course, I had to blog about it before I go hop in the shower and get ready. I'm pretty happy with how it turned out. So I am sure it will not be the last one I make. If my friend Steph finds out she is having a girl I am going to kick myself in the behind, because I saw the most precious bows on sale for 50 cents the other day and they would have been perfect for a girly diaper cake.
Before I show you the finished diaper cake, I want to tell you how I got the theme for this one!
It starts with the very first one I made....

....I bought the same ribbon with the intentions of making it the same. So when I went to the store to buy the same wash clothes and teddy for the top they didn't have anymore. I was a little bummed so I just went to Wal-Mart and found this little guy......

Isn't he so cute? I loved the colors, so I thought I could color the dots on the ribbon to make it match! At this point I had ALL of the diapers tied up with the brown and blue ribbon like the other cake.

So I had to undo SEVERAL bows and knots and retie SEVERAL bows and knots to get this.....

My wonderful husband sat and colored every single dot on all the ribbon, expect for one bow! Of course, he had his price. Two new fishing rods....he would have gotten them anyways, but I guess that means I can't complain that they cost almost $50 each!!!! (I really don't have room to complain bc I got a new laptop!) So win-win for me. =)
Okay the finished product......

The front and back. (The picture doesn't do it any justice, it is so bright and cheerful looking)
I had a bow I made and didn't really have a spot for it so I just pinned it to a blanket I got little Jackson and so now I don't have to wrap it bc it matches the cake.

So what do you think?
