I would have to say it was a pretty good Valentine's Day. We had decided no flowers this year. Just a nice romantic dinner and tanning session package. My co-partner had told me about a nice restaurant in Hochatown, OK called Abendigos. We decided it looked nice, but didn't even think that we had to have reservations, duh! Well, we get there and that is exactly what we needed...reservations. Rewind....we had just drove 50 miles to go here....fastward.....so we drive about another 10 miles to Brokenbow. It turned out OK, because I got to eat at my favorite Mexican Restaurant, Papa Pablanos. (Which by the way, we have one in our town and their salsa is a lot better!) I didn't have anything but a Slimfast all day, so by this time McDonald's sounded good!
So I have decided that I would much rather have a nice romantic dinner and movie at home! It wasn't to romantic to be in an overcrowded restaurant at a table right beside a family of 15! Not only were they LOUD, they had a boy at the table that was even louder than all the adults put together! Tristin was his name!!!
OK, enough of that... the food was good and I got the sweetest ♥handmade♥ V-day card ever! So it's all good.
How was your Valentine's Day? Do you agree that it is a little overrated? Maybe JP and I should just celebrate our own V-day, and pick a day when they don't double the prices of flowers? Sounds good to me. =)

Definitely sounds like your day was free from boredom! I love homemade cards--sometimes those are the best! My hubby and I stayed home on V-day. I still love the holiday, but I do agree that the prices are ridiculous and restaurants are overcrowded--I think you're on to something with that whole celebrating our own V-day idea!
Sorry you couldn't go to Abednigo's! I've heard that place is really cool!
